Dear - Yesterday, 31st May, I picked up the parcel with my dress from the post office. I was a bit nervous as I opened it because I bought this dress to wear at my wedding on 30th June, in five weeks! Well, it is perfect in every way - the quality of the silk, the tailoring, the colors, the styling. The photograph on the goodorient.com web site is very accurate. I ordered the dress one size larger than I normally wear so I could have it altered and that was just the right choice. If you like, I will email you a photo so you can see the bride in her goodorient.com wedding dress. Thank you so much for your conscientious and friendly correspondence.

Bamboo slip is a writing material that was initially used in ancient times in China, from the Zhou Dynasty and Warring States Period to the Wei and the Jin Dynasties. It was used most widely in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. By about the 4th century, paper was already used extensively and replaced Bamboo slip as the primary writing material. To form a bamboo slip, an article is written with a brush on several long, narrow, pared slices of bamboo. Only one line of words is written on each slice. The slices are then tied together to form what is called the "bamboo slip." This book form was typically used for writing essays. Nowadays, it is very popular to write classical works on bamboo slips as collections. The Story of Peach Blossom Spring on the bamboo slip is written by Taoyuanming, a great poet of eastern Jin Dynasty. The story is about a fisherman from Wuling had forgotten how far he had gone in following a stream and he came to a large orchard of peach trees in blossom during the Tai-Yuan period of the Chin Dynasty. The sweet-smelling grass was fresh and beautiful, and the fallen blossoms carpeted the ground. The fisherman was filled with wonder. Then he saw a wide plain, dotted with houses, arranged in order. There were good fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry trees, and bamboo groves. The area was crisscrossed with highways and paths between the fields, and from one village to another one could hear the friendly crowing of cocks and the barking of dogs. The people moved to and fro as they worked on the farms. All the men and women were dressed in strange garments, like some foreigners. Both the greyhaired people and the children wore their hair tresses, and everyone appeared happy and content. It is also an excellent choice for you as a collection or present.
