This is another fish inspired pottery vase. It was in mahogany flush color and looks like a wood carved vase. Made of top quality pottery and with hand paintings. Top fish mouth like vase opening, two sides fish scales and Chinese blessing words "Ji Xiang Ru Yi" (Good luck and happiness to you!).
Fish, as a cultural symbol, has lasting and inseparable relation with Chinese culture. It was deified as a spirit in the Yangshao Culture, which was one Eolithic Culture in ancient Chinese history dated about 7000~5000 years back. Even now, fish is still a symbol standing for propitious and fine life among Chinese people, because the word "Fish" has the same pronunciation with another word "Surplus" in Chinese language.
