Hand Painted Porcelain Mirror with Jade Handle ---Jia Yuanchun Featured

You are looking at an exquisite porcelain hand painted mirror trimmed in silver. The handle is genuine light green jade.

Jia Yuanchun was a beauty in Chinese famous novel Hong Lou Meng( A dream of red mansions). Jia Yuanchun the eldest daughter of Jia's, conducting herself kindheartedly and sedately, was chosen to enter the imperial palace and appointed to be a Female Courtier, and promoted thereafter to be Xian-De (Virtue-Morality) Imperial Concubine and by virtue of her position, Jia Family came to a very prosperous period: "Pour oil on the flames and put flowers on the brocade" was the likeness. But for all that, she herself succumbed to grief in the palace.

From the top of the mirror to the bottom of the jade handle it measures 5"1/4 long.

The mirror measures 2"1/2 D, and is in excellent condition.

You can hang it by some kind of cord from your waist for convenience to use.
