Hand Painted Porcelain Mirror with Jade Handle ---Luo Shen Featured

You are looking at an exquisite porcelain hand painted mirror trimmed in silver. The handle is genuine light green jade.

Luo Shen is mythical figure of ancient China. She became popularly known because of a poem, Ode to the Nymph of the River Luo (Luo Shen Fu), composed by Cao Zhi of the Three Kingdom period. It is said that she was Mifei, the daughter of Emperor Fuxi of prehistorical legends, and became a nymph after she drowned in the Luo River. (This river flows through Shanxi and Henan provinces and the tourist town of Luoyang.).

From the top of the mirror to the bottom of the jade handle it measures 5"1/4 long.

The mirror measures 2"1/2 D, and is in excellent condition.

You can hang it by some kind of cord from your waist for convenience to use.
