Greeting Ms. Lucie from Kansas (Though I am originally from New Jersey!)
Thank you for your follow-up and information, I appreciate it very much.
I was looking on the internet for oriental style clothing and your website was eye-catching and had the nicest items - I have emailed it to all my friends and will tell everyone about it, the things are just gorgeous.
I am an English teacher and your written English is better than native speakers!
Have a great day!
Sincerely
Lynda, Junction City[United States] - 21/11/2011

The Maneki Neko (literally "Beckoning Cat"; also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money cat or Fortune Cat) is a common Japanese sculpture, often made of porcelain or ceramic, which is believed to bring good luck to the owner. The sculpture depicts a cat beckoning with an upright paw, and is usually displayed in stores, restaurants, pachinko parlors, and other businesses. A raised right paw supposedly attracts money, while a raised left paw attracts customers.
Maneki Neko come in different colors, styles, and degrees of ornateness. In addition to sculptures, Maneki Neko can be found as keychains, piggy banks, air fresheners, and miscellaneous ornaments.
The cat breed represented in the sculpture is generally a Japanese Bobtail.
Raise two claws means bringing wealth and fortune. Eggplant means wish and the turtle means longevity.
