Old Pecking is an area located in the lakes district in Beijing. This section is noted for its many small alleyways, called Hutongs, with some of the oldest, traditional quadrangle housing structures that exist in the city. These houses originally served as the home for everyone in a family (all generations) and sometimes for two or three families.
